I have tried to resolve this problem in the past and no
one seams to be able offer a solution. Problem: This only
happens when I paste an Excell page into Corel Draw and I
only paste and not paste special so as not to create a
link, however there seams to be a dynamic link of some
sort created between Corel and Excel. This dynamic link
seams to be a real drain on the system even though the
page I am working on is only about 400kb in size so when I
continue to zoom in closer on any part of the page Corel
will slow down and then just lock up. I have seen other
Corel users on various forums experience the same problem
with Excel and have been unable to find a corrective
action. The only way to circumvent this is to save the
Excel page as a PDF and then paste into Corel however this
is to time consuming and messy for every day catalog
production. Any help would be greatly appreciated, Thanks.
Computer is running XP with a Pentium 2.6 with 1.5 gig of
DDRSD Ram. Video card Nvidia GeForce4 - 8x Ti 4200. System
hard drive C: 24GB used, 31GB free. Backup drive 13GB
used, 100GB free. I only have 72 fonts listed. Primary and
secondary swap disks on a second hard drive. My memory is
set at 45% of 1,572,336 KBytes. My paging file is set on a
secondary drive. My video and printer drivers are current
and all start up items are disabled and no other programs
running. I am not running any Windows theme just Windows
classic. I have opened Corel with f-8 to not load any
workspace or extra toolbars.
