Excel Email Link Problem

I recently upgraded my Dell Laptop and loaded Office 2003. For some reason,
every time I click on an email address in an Excel 'cell', about 50 Internet
Explorer pages open up trying to locate the website associated with the email
address instead of Excel opening an Outlook new message box with the email
address from Excel in the 'To' box. As you can imagine, 50 IE pages trying
to open simultaneously freezes my computer for about 2-3 minutes.

Any help is much appreciated.
