Excel embedded in PowerPoint bolds random lines

Two questions actually, both having to do with linked excel tables, but not
whole worksheets:

1) Is there a way to turn off the grids in PP without turning them off for
the Excel document?

2) When there are borders or when it is just the grey gridline in PP, every
three or four horizontal lines are too thick. When I 'print preview' the
excel file they look okay, but when I view the slide show they are wrong.

Thanks.

Bart,
I'd bet you resized the pasted XL object. That shouldn't happen if the
object is sized at 100% of original size. It will often happen if it's
<100% of original size.

At 100% I still get a problem, but if I enlarge it to about 125% or more,
it's fine. Also, if I just double the thickness of the border. I think a
lot of it had to do with screen size and settings. At a lower resolution it
was not as bad, I haven't tried a smaller monitor yet (mine is 19" flat
screen) so that might make a difference too. Best thing I think is just to
enlarge it, easier to read anyway. Thanks for the help.
