ERROR:
ORA-12154: TNS could not resolve the connect identifier specified
Driver's SQLSetConnectAttr failed
Excel gives this error for all Oracle DNS
I can attach Excel to MSAccess via ODBC
I can attach to Oracle with: Toad, tnsping, sqlplus, CrystalReports, Etc.
Using the same DSN.
The problem came after attempting to connect to new some databases by
changing the tnsnames.ora, sqlnet.ora , etc. (I made a backup before I
started)
Then Excel stopped working.
I copied the original *.ora files back into place - no luck.
I have since:
uninstalled and reinstalled the 10x Client and Excel
Deleted all *.ora except the main two
Read and tried every thing I could find on the www.
Set TNS_ADMIN, etc. etc.
