Excel Export Hyperlinks

I have an Access 2000 program that exports a report to Excel. It includes
hyperlinks but when exported the hyperlinks do not work. I find some KB
articles that say this is an issue with Access 2000 to current. I have also
tried testing it in 2002 and same result. The KB articles suggests the fix
is to edit each cell which activates the hyperlink. Is there any way to get
these hyperlinks exported to Excel so they function outright?
