Excel file that is emailed seems to carry rights

Hi. When emailing an excel spreadsheet to someone outside of the office and
outside of the domain...the spreadsheet is not allowing changes. Seems like
the rights from my domain are being carried over to the person outside of the
domain.

Looking for Suggestions or a solution.
