Excel formula bar

Have you seen this one?
I am using an iMac 10.2.4 and Excel v.X.
When I open the spread sheet and activate the formula bar,
the formula bar box which shows the function being entered
should be to the right of the "=" sign but is displaced way
to the left of the formula bar. Moving the formula bar by
dragging, drags the box and forumla bar together.

Formula Bar:
!Function! SPACE !Active cell X _ = "Void"!

What am I missing?

Hi

If you haven't already done so, download and install the service release for
Office X. It has a new URL as of today:
LOAD/OFFICEX/OfficeX_1012.xml&secid=5&ssid=11&flgnosysreq=True>

After you install the update, run Disk Utility and Repair Permissions. That
oughta fix it.

It shouldn't hurt either to use the SoftwareUpdate in the System
preferences to update the system to 10.2.6...
