Excel Formulas for Forecasting

Does anyone know where or how I could get a formula to forecast headcount
(resources) for a call center based on three years of historical data? The
group I currently work with is rolling back roughly 30,000 people to a some
previously developed systems. We have 10 techs supporting our volume today,
but based on historical data, I need to find out when I could expect to have
to move some resources to the other support areas. This is a *~*~*~HOT*~*~*~
Priority!!!! Any help offered is greatly appreciated.

There are no magic formulae. You need to first figure out, for
yourself, the forecasting algorithm that you want to use to do this
computation. Need to determine which variables are related to the scale
effect of changing headcount. To do this, you'll no doubt have to have
a deep understanding of the work and business processes. Perhaps you
need to engage the services of a consultant experienced in this business
analysis.
