Excel going too far

Version: 2008
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: Intel

My chart is extending dates past the dates I have entered and, consquently,flat lining. Other chart in workbook is okay.

for example the problem chart is going past the data entered...all the way to the end of 2009.
