Excel Graphs in Word now autoshapes. Titles, legends won't print.

I've imported Excel graphs into Word. Instead of being able to edit the
graphs by clicking on them and getting back to Excel like I used to, the
graphs are now converted to autoshapes and I can move each bit, even
individual data points, which I don't want.
When I go to Print Preview, all looks fine. When I print, the graphs have no
titles or legends. Any ideas how to fix this?
Is this because of new software? I started document on Word 98 - now on 2003
with regular updates.
Thanks

In Word, rather than accepting the default paste behavior/format (Microsoft
Office Graphic Object), try using Paste Special - Microsoft Office Excel
Chart Object. Done this way, when you double-click, the graph is edited as
an Excel object. Does this give you the desired editing/printing results?

To access Paste Special... In the Home ribbon tab, click the little arrow at
the bottom of the Paste button, choose Paste Special, then Microsoft Office
Excel Chart Object. You can also get the Paste Special options directly in
Word 2007 by pressing Ctrl+Alt+V.
