Hi,
I create a pivot table in Excel 2000, specify "external data source" and click "Get Data" and nothing. It just hangs. It doesn't go on to ask me to specify the source.
Eventually, I have to close Excel with Task Manager (I gave it 10 minutes).
This used to work fine, but (since a Windows update or something?) it stopped.
It is the same if I try it in a blank spreadsheet.
The PC has 1Gb of memory and no other programs are running.
I am using Office 2000 Prof SP1 and Windows XP Prof SP1.
I have tried disabling anti-virus and firewall software.
Any ideas?
