Excel Help with a formula

B

Bill Davis Jr

Need help with a formula if it is possible.

Let's say I am working on a budget. In Column A I have a list of
balances, example A1-A12. I Column B I have a cell with a set amount
of dollars.

Is there a formula that when I payoff one of the balances with the
amount in the cell in Column B I know how much I have left to pay off
another balance? I hope I explained that right.

Thanks,

Bill

When you "pay off" an A column amount place an equal negative number in
the B column to be summed with the "amount left" cell in B.

Hi Bill,

According to your description, I'm afraid that there is no such a formula
that can achieve your goal. It requires a dynamic and interactive course
which canno be completed by the built-in formulas in Excel.

Based on my experience, I would suggest you submit your question in MSDN
newsgroups as they are best suitable to help you with the development
issues.

You can go to "Office Solutions Development ->Excel ->excel.programming" on
the following web page to reach the newsgroup.

If you are a MSDN managed customer, you can also submit your question in
"microsoft.public.office.developer.vba" newsgroup. For more information,
