Anyone know why Excel 2007 help seems to display what looks like raw xml not
meaningful text some of the time??

XML is the native format for Excel 2007. What is the name of the
workbook file, and does it have the .xlsx extension?

For future questions, please use a more meaningful subject line.
"Excel help" is not very specific. The more specific you are, the
more likely you are to attract an answer from someone who can help.

xlsx, although trying others does not seem to make a difference.

Point taken about the subject line - it was my first post. Thanx 4 the advice.
