Excel in English run on PC with Excel in French

Alan Hutchins

This is causing me some problems.

I have written an automated report in Excel 97 (English)
which has been tested extensively (tested on Excel 2000 as
well).

However when my colleagues in France run the report they
get an error 9 (in French). A colleague who speaks French,
trapped the error and printed me a copy of where it
occurred in my program.

I then changed the program and re-tested it, and it ran
ok. However it is still giving this error 9 in the French
version of Excel.

Can anyone suggest how I can resolve this problem ?

Does excel in French run differently to English ?

This is the first time I have encountered such a problem,
and I think it is down to the way I am saving the finished
report to the C drive on their machines.

Any insight/suggestions would be gratefully received.

It would help in solving this to know the text of the error message in
English and the line of code that is breaking.
