Excel in frontpage ( Fromatting and efficiency)

I want to import a 400kb excel spreadsheet into a frontpage web page.
The system freezes anytime I do this.
I need advise on efficiency and formatting.

Have you tried saving the Excel file as a web page while in Excel itself, and
then importing the file?
