I am running into an issue on a couple of PC's that I cannot seem to resolve.
One PC is running Enterprise license version of Office 2003 Standard SP2 and
the other is running Office 2003 PRO SP2, whenever Excel is opened I get the
annoying window indicating Excel couldn't start and to send data to Microsoft
for troubleshooting. Whether I do so or not, the next window that opens is
one that says Excel was not shutdown properly and will start in Safe Mode.
Open Excel in Safe Mode, close it properly*File -> Exit, and the program
still will not open normally.
I have tried Detect and Repair, uninstall/reinstall, and have even run
/unregserver then /regserver via Start - Run. There are no add-ins installed
in either case. All current updates have been applied.
Might you have any idea what could be causing this to happen and how to
resolve?
