excel.interop insert a column in between existing columns

Any example of how to do this? I tried this, but it does nothing....

rangeXX = ws.get_Range("Q1", "Q1")
rangeXX.Columns.EntireColumn.Insert(Excel.XlInsertShiftDirection.xlShiftToRight,
Type.Missing);
