Excel is not prompting to save when exiting

Suddenly Microsoft Excel 2003 is not prompting me to save if I forget to save
before exiting. I cannot find a setting for this anywhere in the options.
The only thing located on the save tab is related to the auto save which is
set at 10 minutes for default.

If anyone knows how to fix this it would be a huge help. Everytime I forget
to click the save button first and exit I lose all of my data.

Not heard of that one before. Have you tried Help, Detect and Repair yet?

Yes. Actually I did run that and it took forever. But it did not fix the
issue. I agree it is a real stumper.
