I have linked two Excel spreadsheets to an Access database. My problem is
that if I keep the spreadsheets open, the connection works. As soon as I
close the spreadsheets the connection fails and I get the error: "External
table is not in the expected format". If I open the spreadsheet, it works
again. To deliver this database to users, I need to be able to have the
spreadsheets closed while the database performs it's tasks.
What can I do to fix this problem?
