Debbie D.
Hi all,
I have a Excel spreasheet containing names and adresses (Column1) FirstName
(Column2) LastName (Column 3) Address. This list of names and addresses is
updated weekly from another external application. The names on the list can
be added to and some names can also be used to change the current address. I
can link into Access with ease. Any changes in the new weekly updates in
Excel can easily be seen in the Access table.
However, I then need this table to related to an Access table i.e. Customers
table to Purchases table. I am now allowed I think to created a column in
the linked table and changed its data type to AutoNumber primary key which
would then act as a 1-Many in any second (Purchases) table. Also as the list
is updated weekly how would I then just be able to update the changes of new
additionals in Excel spreadsheet to an Access table. I have tried an append
query but I get the ones records but also duplicate entries for the originals
as well.
Hope this make some sense and thanks for taking the time to read this. Any
and all advice welcome. Thanks
