Excel Links and Sorting

I am trying to put 5 different workbooks that are all linked in different
ways into a MS SharePoint site. The issue that one or two of these workbooks
needs to be able to sort/filter, but this breaks the links. Does anyone have
any suggestions on a workaround or how to handle this situation?
