Excel links reformatted!

I'm using word and excel '97, and I'm creating a template that has linked portions of excel sheets. I've used copy, paste special, paste link, paste as excel sheet to get the cells i want into word. I resized everything in excel, so it looks as I want it to in word. However, after saving both, closing, and reopening, word has changed the sizes of the fonts and the cells for me. I checked the ms website, which said patches SR-1 and SR-2 would fix this, which are already installed. I even changed the normal font in word to match the font I'm using in excel, but it still makes a mess out of everything. Nothing will stop it. I am also developing quite a headache from repeatedly banging my head against the monitor
thanks for any help

Hi,

You don't say whether you're links are just to the
contents of cells or is to an image of the worksheet.

If it's the former, you're probably using an INCLUDETEXT
field. In that case, try adding:
\* Charformat
to the end of the field. This switch tells Word to give
the whole field the same format as the 1st character in
the field. See Wor'd help file for more details.

If it's the latter, it may be because Word is having
difficulty handling the amount of date being inserted.
This is often the case if you have many inserted worksheet
objects. I don't know of a reliable solution for that.

Cheers
