Excel Links

I have a large excel file with cells that I link to charts
on another worksheet, and then link those charts to
powerpoint presentations.

My problem resides in when my boss has me add additional
rows to the file. It moves all of the data I have linked
to different cells, which in turn messes up all the data
that I have linked.

I have too many files linked to this one file. I can't
separate the data from that file, and I need to be able to
insert data in the middle of excel file.

Is there a way I can track these links so they change when
the data moves without manually changing (literally
hundreds) all of the links?

There is no point in attaching the file, since it links to
about 20 other files, and each of those files links to
about 10 power point presentations.

but the problem i'm having, and i've tested this in a very
slimmed down version of the big file, is that when I
insert rows above data that is linked, the linked cells
don't change, just the data in them. So if I have two
rows of data (row one and two), and then insert a row
above them, then the other documents will show one blank
row of data (the new inserted row) and one row of data
(row one) instead of showing both rows of data (row one
and two). I'm looking for a way to have the links watch
the cells, and if they move then for the link to reflect
that.
