Excel - long paragraph across multiple cells

I'm trying to insert a long paragraph in an excel document across multiple
cells/rows. Keep getting back ### as display. I've changed the format to
wrap text and ensured merge cells was selected.

Have you tried pasting special and changing the type of text that yo
are pasting into the cell/ cells?
Also you may want to try eidt, clear all in the area you are working a
the cell may have been formatted in some manner
