Hey there,

I am making a few line graphs in excel at the moment and I am missing some data (I have all the data I need, but on a few occasions I have missing data because it was never collected in the first place). As a result, the graph is disconnected. How can I join the two line segments together with missing data in between? I looked online and someone gave directions about interpolating the data. However, these directions were for a windows version of excel, and therefore I was unable to make use of them. Thanks for the help!

You need to provide more info on what you want to show.
First of all, from a scientific point of view, if you are plotting data
you should not plot a line, just the points. Lines are for theoretical
curves.
Now, if you want the line, the only reason it's disconnected is if you
have rows in your data area with blank cells. Get rid of these rows. --
I sure hope you are using Scatterplot, or else your data won't be placed
properly to begin with.

Remember, if you are presenting data, it is incorrect to present
interpolated values unless you are also making predictions. What were
those "Windows version" instructions? I don't know of any
functions/tools that are not also available in the Mac version.
