Excel opens document but does not display

I'm using Excel 2007. If I double click on an Excel document, Excel starts
but does not open the spreadsheet. If I maximize or restore the main Excel
window, the spreadsheet appears.

I have the same issue. Until it's fixed, I found doing a right-click in the
blank screen and then a left-click will display the workbook.
