Excel or Access?

Currently, I use Excel for a Status Log at work. this status log changes
continuously. basically, it contains the job name, customer, a million
dates. the reason i use excel is that there are basically three stages of
each job. with excel, i can add rows when necessary. does this sound like
something that access can handle better than excel can? i am descent with
excel, but i have no access experience. any input is greatly appreciated.

Does the Excel solution work for you? (If it ain't broke, don't fix it! :)
If you're having problems with the Excel solution, what are they? If we knew
that, we'd be in a better position to advise whether moving to Access might
solve those problems.
