Excel passwords.

This may be a redundant post. I've lost the password for one of my excel
files. Not sure how to use the "password.xla" add-in as I cannot get the
workbook open. Tried a 'brute-force' program that ran, without result, for 3
days. Any thoughts?

If you can't open the file then none of the VBA type approaches will
help you.

You need to get file open password remover
try googleing for lost password and elcomsoft for example

In recent versions of Excel the encryption is pretty good, but I'm sure
some of the providers offer guaranteed cracking. But it might cost.

Sounds like you have already tried this so my advice is to try other
providers.

Cheers
