Excel problem

S

Sirpa

I have Windows XP Pro and Microsoft Office 2007 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint,
Access, Publisher).
When I double click an excel-file, Excel opens, but the file does not open,
before I click Open and then Cancel. Word opens files normally, but Excel
does not. What should I do? I have already uninstalled Office and reinstalled
it and all the updates are ok.... Where is the problem?

Hi Sirpa,
When I double click an excel-file, Excel opens, but the file does not open,
before I click Open and then Cancel.

Go to control panel, add/remove programs and start Office setup. Have it do a
detect and repair.

Click on the Office Button In Excel and select Excel Options. Click on the
Advanced option on the left and scroll down to the General section. Under
the General section, uncheck Ignore other applications that use Dynamic Data
Exchange (DDE). Click on OK and then Exit Excel. Try opening an Excel file
again.
