Excel Protection Question

At my office, we share several Excel database files on the network, which a
few of us have permission to change. The problem is, if one of us is using a
one of these files, and this one particular gentleman opens it up, he
continually makes a copy instead of waiting until the file is free or asking
for notificatoin. I've explained this to him repeatedly, as it really causes
headaches in controlling our data. He still continues to do it, and I am
thinking that the only way I can stop him from doing this is to come up with
some way that prevents him from making a copy. Does anyone know a way of
doing this? I have searched high and low and am pulling my hair out! I'm
using Excel 2003 now, but his version is Office XP.

Hi
not really possible preventing him to make a copy. If he is able to
open the file he is also able to make a copy in the Explorer. I would
expect the best way would be to ignore his entered data :)
