J Jim Dec 18, 2003 #2 Have you tried? I do not know about XL2K, but in XP, Format>Cells>Protection>uncheck the locked checkbox>Tools>Protection>Protect Sheet>Allow Users To> Format cells (there are a number of other choices)>optional use of password>OK.
