I need to make a spreadsheet for a cinema

How can i make it so that each time a seat is sold the cell tha
corresponds to that seat changes color?

Hi,

You can use Conditional Formatting for this.

What will your column headings be? And, the cell in which corresondin
column would you like to change color? Or would you like the whole ro
to change color

If each of the cells within the four sections represents a seat
wouldn't it suffice to manually fill the background with the color yo
choose each time a seat is sold?

Alternatively, you could use Conditional Formatting so that each time
seat is sold you could enter "Sold" in the appropriate cell and i
would automatically fill in the background.

You could select the cells for your first section, and then:

Format > Conditional Formatting
Cell Value Is:
Equal to
Sold
Choose your formatting
Click Ok
Repeat for your other three section
