Excel Question

I made several changes to an excel document and saved it. Now I would like to
see my previous version of the document before the changes. Is there a way to
find this?

Sorry but I do not know where you stored your back up. Was it emailed to
any one else? Was it stored on a removable drive, ie floppy, CD, Flashdrive?
is it on a net work drive?

I've found it useful to tell Excel 2003 to keep a backup of Excel files.
There's one level of backup, and the backup file has extension xlk (rather
than xls). It's stored in the same directory as the Excel file.

How to tell Excel this is kind of obscure.

Use:
File > Save as

In the "Save as" dialog box take an extra step, using:
Tools > General options
and checking "Always create backup."

This has to be done for each Excel file. Once the file is tagged this way,
the tag sticks with the file; you don't have to take the extra step each
time it's saved.

Do you know if you created a backup?

If you didn't, there won't be one to look at.

Do you have "always create a backup" enabled in File>Save As>Tools>General
Options?

If so, do a file search for *.xlw
