Excel range ! versus :

Hi there,

I merged cells B8 through D8. When I want to use this particular cell
in a formula, excel refers to this cell as B8:D8
I'm know using my sheet on another pc with the same version of excel,
and non of these referals work any more. Excel now wants me to refer
to this merged cell as !B8
As different users on different pc's will have to use my worksheet,
how can I attack this problem?

Thanks in advance,

Henning

Hi
not a real solution but a suggestion: ry to avoid merged
cells. In most cases they're not required (you can center
the text for a selection to achieve a similar result).
You'll run into this kind of problems with merged cells
all the way :)

When you write the original formulas, you want to refer to it as B8. Then it will work for everyone
