have row fields product, doc #
have data fields rec, iss and a calculated field called balance which
= rec - iss and made into running total with base item product
this is a stock ledger. there will be 100's of such products, with
multiple doc # in outlined below each product, showing how the product
was received or issued.
i want a running total next to each receipt and issue. so eg:
product is hydrochloric acid:
document no is "received by opening balance":10 balance:10-0:10
document_no is "sold by sales invoice":5 balance:10-5=5
document_no is "received by purchase":10 balance:5+10=15
the more important thing is that when hydrochloric acid changes to
sulphuric acid i want the running total to reset to zero and start
from there. also i want this running total to change with every doc #
changing because they affect the stock position every minute. i am
having a nightmare doing this. i dont even know if this is possible in
excel. please help.
