excel security

I currently manage many workbooks that contain many worksheets. I want to
lock down all the formlas and formats in the sheets but allow users to enter
data.
I don't wish to lock each individual worksheet with a password whick I am
now doing.
I want to be able to have one admin password which locks all the formulas
and formats in the workbook but allows users to enter data without entering a
password.
Can this be done?

It would be a good idea to tell us what version Excel you are using. I
have 2002 an in that case I can select the cell(s) then Select [Format] then
[Cells] then [Protection] Different version may have different procedures.
