Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger) Processor: Intel Its driving me nuts. When I open a new excel file, everything works fine. When I re-open a file it types at the speed of a snail. I type and have to wait about 30 secs for the type to appear. I have run disc utility repair, I have removed library/pref plist as suggested. No use. Must be a reason! help! Frustrated of Auckland NZ.

If i open a new excel sheet I, can type fine. If I open, say, a quote sheet (only has a small logo and a few cal cells in it), it has a long delay from type to appearing and then one letter at a time s l o w l y.

Is the "quote sheet" stored on you primary HD or some other device?
