Am I able to calculate a Durbin-Watson statistic in Excel 2008 in order to measure the autocorrelation of the independent variables in a multi-variate time series analysis? If so, how?

OTOH, you must of course recognize the limitations (primarily in
precision) of any version of XL in calculating advanced statistics. In
general, serious statisticians use dedicated statistics packages.
