Excel tables to Word--Best Solution?

I've been given a large number of Excel tables to import into Word (very
lengthy, very complex, and very difficult). Now, a straight copy and paste is
a funny experience and it will take a lot of time to manually tweak every
single column and row so everything works in Word. Does anyone know of a way
to make Excel tables a bit more "Word friendly?" Thanx!

Are you wanting to transfer the Excel information as Static or Dynamic? How
have you transfered information from Excel format to a Word format up to this
point?

I want to transfer static tables to Word. My poor method to date has been
copying and pasting from Excel to Word, and then the exhaustive reformat. Any
workaround? Thanks!

Link Excel in word > Allows editing in Excel and updates to word
Select Cells-- Click Copy-- Make Word Active
Position Insert point -- Click Edit and Paste Special @ the dialog
Box click Microsoft office Excel worksheet Object. Click Paste Link
Close dialog Box, remove check mark from Pictures Placeholder
Save Print
If you have questions please open a new requeste under same subject.
The other two ways are Copy and paste which is completely static
The other is to Embed which allows edit in word and updates in Excel.
