Excel Takes 30 Seconds Plus to Save First Time

I'm having a problem with one of my Excel workbooks. Every time I open it,
the first time I save it it takes anywhere from thirty seconds to over a
minute. Time is a factor for this workbook and I was wondering if there is
maybe a setting I need to change or something else I can do to fix this. Any
input would be greatly appreciated.
