Excel to Access database

Does anyone know how to convert a Excel document to an Access database?
I got this link off of Microsoft.com

If I understand correctly, I could enter data into an excell
spreadsheet, which I am at least somewhat familiar with. When I'm
done, I could convert it into a new Access database without setting up
the Access forms. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi. If there are headers to your columns, they should be
in row1.

In Access, start a new database file. In the "Tables"
section, right click in the window. You can either
import the spreadsheet or "link" the excel spreadsheet.
If you choose link, you can continue to edit the
spreadsheet in excel. If you import, any changes will
have to be made in Access.

Hi
I was trying to import a excel spreadsheet into access by using
in Access:
File->Get external data->import

the import spreadsheet wizard comes up
if I select radio button 'Show Worksheets' , it says subsript out of
range error and the importing fails.

would anybody figure why it is doing this?

Just to be clear, this is not what you referenced in OP. In that case,
you use the Add-in from that web site, activate it. Then under Data >
Convert to MS Access. Thus, the starting point is in Excel.

The process you are following here is to start in Access and import
from Excel. Same result - but just to note the difference.

What version of Access and Excel do you have?

I'm using excel XP and access XP, but I did not get the option to
activate the plugin, where do I go to do that.
