Hi there,
I hope someone can help me. Each time I start a new document in Excel (worksheet), the view that I normally have, with the standard toolbar, disappears! In order for me to actually see the toolbar, I have to manually go in and click off the view of the standard toolbar, and then go back in again and click it back on, before it will show on top of the excel page? Hope someone understands my problem. Thanks.

Click the oblong button at the right end of the document window's Title
Bar... Then write a nastygram to Apple demand that they both *name* and
*document* that damned nuisance :)

Hi Bob Jones,
thanks for your answer. However, I am not sure what you actually mean?
Can you explain again.
Thanks

Hi Nicolai;

What part don't you understand?

To fix your problem: The name of the document appears at the top of the
document window in what is called the Title Bar. Directly to the right of
the document name - in the extreme upper right corner of the window - is an
oblong button which looks like a capsule... Click that button to expose your
"missing" toolbars.

As for the "nastygram", I was just joking - that button has caused confusion
for many people, but it is an OS X feature - not a MS gimmick - which isn't
documented or explained anywhere, nor is there any tool tip when you point
to it. I was just suggesting that you write Apple a message :)
