excel unique values in column

hey all,
i have a single column of records that contain duplicates. what's the best
way to get all the unique values and place in new column?

Hi,

Select the column of data then

Data|Filter|Advanced filter
Select 'unique records only'
Select copy to another location
Enter a location to copy to (A single cell not a range)
Ok
