excel user's manual

Hi,

Now that is a very good question! In the old days Microsoft used to put out
a 4 volume set of manuals for Excel, and I have one, but I haven't seen
anything like that in ages, which is really too bad.

I believe you will be limited to 1. Books by other authors (for example -
John Walkenback) 2. the online help system, 3. Informational web sites such
as
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/help/FX100485361033.aspx?pid=CL100605171033
4. and of course these newsgroups.

If this helps, please click the Yes button

Cheers,

My guess is XL got out of the business since there is so much reference
material out there and much of it is better than the old manuals. The manuals
were written too generically. If you were new to XL they were over your head.
Once you got good at XL they did not have the required depth of content.

Doug... if you want a book recommendation post what kind of info you are
looking for and we can steer you towards a book that will get you going.
