Excel will not close

I cannot close ANY Excel document with the upper-right X
Button. When clicking the X either nothing happens or the
X greys out.

When I click on "file" "exit", the "save as" window pops
up.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Office - same
results.

This may help:
Ctrl+Alt+Delete and close XL, then re-boot your computer. Re-launch XL and
see if the problem persists.
