Excel/Word disappeared,request to installDATA1.msi

On trying to access Excel, a message stating data1.msi is not a valid
installation package appeared and mention a service pack.Was this caused by
an automatic update from Microsoft?I followed instructions to remove Works 7
and my XP system and i then reinstalled XP. I now find that I have also lost
Word2000.I no longer have my excel/word discs. How can i reinstate these?
