Excel workbook opens minimized

Keith

I'm having a strange issue with excel. Certain workbooks are opening
minimized. Basically what happens is when I double click on my excel file.
It open excel to a blank grey screen. the only way to get the file to come
up is by selecting arrange on the window menu. I've tried reinstalling
office and saving the file after I maxamize it.

Let me know if anybody else has seen this kind of behavior with excel.

thanks in advance

I found I was having the same problem - when I double click on a file, excel
will not maximize itself therefore the file stays minimized as well. Doesn't
seem proper?

It sounds like the window is opening off the Desktop when it is
Restored.

Here are a few things to try to get it back:

- Open another window, right-click an empty area of the Taskbar and
select "Cascade"

If that doesn't work then:

- Right-click the Word task and click "Restore" if necessary
- Right-click again and select "Move"
- Use one of the arrow keys on the keyboard to "lock in" the move
command
- Use your mouse and see if you can move it back to the Desktop

assistance by email can not be acknowledged.
