I am trying to create a chart in Excel. I have five columns. I need to have
four of the columns graphed as a bar (column) and one column setup as a line
graph. How can I specify the line graph for the one column? How do I
specify how a column (field) is graphed? I've tried everything and can't
figure it out. Thanks in advance.

I have six fields. Five of them are coming out as a line and the remainder
as a column. How do I make the field that I want to be Line and the other to
be Column. Thanks in advance.

You change it after the initial chart is created. So create the column
chart, select the data series you want to change to a line and then
change the chart type accordingly. Since you only have one series
selected, rather than the entire chart, only the selected series will
change.
