I used Excel 24 hours ago (for the first time) and today
I cannot open it. Windows XP pro. Bought 2nd hand so have
no disc, but this worked fine before. Thanks.

If it was Excel 2002 or Excel 2003, it may have been installed, but not
activated. There's information on the Microsoft web site:

Contact the person who sold you the computer, and ask for the disks and
licence.

What version of Excel? If you have no CD, how did you manage to install it?
You can't just copy Excel.exe from an old computer to a new one...
