Hi my experience in Excel is limited but have a major problem.
Have been given a excel workbook that is used for producing results for
downhill skiing competitions.
The sheet lets you put all the competitors details in and then their
basic seeding points.
By the push of a button it will let you set up each race and then print
out the start positions.
After each race it will let you put in the times and then calculate by
the push of a button the seed positions and the start order for the
next race etc. until the whole competition is finished then it will let
you print all the overall results and winners.
It works fine on Win 98 and Excel 4 but as soon as I put it on the new
systems they have given me ( Win2k/Xp and Office Xp) it does not work
at all.
The special tool bar for putting in the race details is missing and
whenever you open the sheet it tells me that macros are missing
although i can clearly see the file there. It also comes up with lots
of macro error at cell faults (no idea what this means).
The problem I have is that I require this software in 6 weeks time. No
idea how to get it to work and the original author is no longer serving
in the military with me.
